ST JOHN’S WOOD SQUARE WILL BE DEFINED BY RESIDENCES OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY WITHIN A NEIGHBOURHOOD CHARACTERISED BY CRAFTMANSHIP,
HERITAGE, QUALITY AND EXEMPLAR DESIGN.
ABOUT
St John’s Wood Square is a 2.2-hectare development situated in the heart of St John’s Wood, occupying the site of the former St
John’s Wood Barracks, along with properties at 1-7 Queen’s Terrace. The development site is bordered by Ordnance Hill, Queen’s
Terrace, and Queen’s Grove and will provide a prime residential location in a highly sought-after area when complete.
The St John’s Wood Square development includes 11 townhouses, 109 private apartments, 59 affordable apartments, and the Grade II
Listed Riding School and will set a new precedent for residential design and development in central London.
The vision for St John’s Wood Square is to create a residential community that enhances the wider St John’s Wood area. Through
highly considered design and enhancement of the public realm for the benefit of all, the development will honour and celebrate
the rich heritage of the St John’s Wood Barracks. With a commitment to meticulous attention to detail and a focus on excellence
at every stage of the development, St John’s Wood Square will be a beautiful and luxurious residential neighbourhood that
seamlessly integrates with its historic surroundings.
Designed by Andy Sturgeon, one of the UK’s leading garden designers and three time ‘Best in Show’ winner at the RHS Chelsea
Flower Show, St John’s Wood Square will be defined by best-in-class gardens and squares of outstanding beauty and tranquillity.
The Grade II Listed Riding School will be home to luxurious resident amenities and the St John’s Wood Square Concierge team.
Wilkinson Eyre’s design for The Riding School embraces the heritage of the building and provides an exciting and imaginative
aesthetic that engages with the building’s distinguished past and celebrates the King’s Troop and their history. Together with
its new arrival square, resident amenities and adjoining Sanctuary Garden, the Riding School will be a physical and symbolic
focal point of the development and form the heart of the St John’s Wood Square residential community.
Significant progress has been made on-site, with the demolition phase now complete. Construction is now focused on developing
the new residential buildings, gardens, squares, and roads, along with the restoration of the Riding School.
